In the system of visual arts animation occupies an important place, representing a special phenomenon of culture. Animation offers itself as a mirror in which all cultural transformations of a society are reflected. Modern technologies not only presented a set of means of expression and placed a new art toolkit in the hands of artists; they also considerably expanded areas of animation, changing the place of animation in culture and society as
the whole. Today we don’t perceive animation simply as an act of art, and animation products as completed creations. In modern realities animation becomes a new communicative practice. Its products become not only texts, but social activities as well.
