Jochen Ehmann, Stuttgart
Biography
Jochen Ehmann writes, animates and directs drawn animated films. Graduating in Design and Animation at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart in 1986, he worked as a freelance animator in different studios in Germany, and made several animated TV children’s films. His independent films have been shown in many international festivals. Ehmann designed and animated sequences for computer games for the Hanover EXPO 2000 Bosch pavilion and has had exhibitions of his drawings and animated installations. Ehmann taught animation 1994–2002 at the Fachhochschule Würzburg, at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle (Saale) in 2003–04 and since 2004 teaches at the Lucerne School of Art and Design, where since 2007 he is Professor and Co-Director of the Animation Department.
